Ricoh G5 Printhead Disassembly
1. Layer of the Printhead: Steel Protection Plate
The steel protection plate serves as the outermost layer, providing physical protection for the printhead.

2. Second Layer: Flow Path Film
The second layer is the flow path film, which helps guide the ink within the printhead structure.
3. Ink Channel Film (1)

Detailed observation of the ink channel. 🔍
4. Ink Channel Film (2)

Further observation of the ink channel. 🔍

5. Ink Channel Film (3)
Continued inspection of the ink channel.
6. Membrane Filter
A fine membrane filter that ensures proper ink filtration within the printhead.
7. After Removing All the Films
Once all the films are removed, the underlying piezoelectric crystal is revealed, which is essential for ink ejection

These vertically arranged lines are crystals.

Flowing to these narrow ink channels

And the back side of the crystal at this location

It isolates the crystals from the ink.

Therefore, crystals are very fragile.

The back of the piezoelectric crystal is plated with gold. (The color of gold)

So everything here is connected.

This causes the fifth membrane to vibrate, squeezing out the ink.

It is connected to the crystal.

Temperature sensor, ribbon cable
It also includes crystal, heating element,

It's the wire that supplies power to heat the nozzle.

Let's look at this yellow heating element.
